Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) Injury

Anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries, generally sprains or tears, are very common knee injuries involving three parts of the knee joint. ACL injuries commonly affect athletes playing sports like soccer and football, and symptoms include swelling and pain around the knee, stiffness when walking, and tenderness around your knee joint. During your initial consultation with an MCI Registered Physiotherapist, the structure of your knee, your symptoms and your medical history will be assessed and we will develop a treatment plan individualized to your needs. We offer a range of physiotherapy treatments for ACL-injury that vary from plan to plan, including exercise rehabilitation, electrotherapy, manual therapy and re-injury education. Working together with your doctor, our goal is to restore your mobility and improve your quality of life.
