Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is the most common cause of heel pain, and generally arises from straining the plantar fascia. Plantar fascia are layered connective tissue inside your foot that run in multiple directions, supporting the arch of your foot. Symptoms include inflammation and pain on the bottom of the foot and heel. If you are an athlete or are often on your feet for work, you may be at risk of developing plantar fasciitis. During your initial consultation with an MCI Registered Physiotherapist, the structure of your foot, your symptoms and medical history will be assessed, and we will develop a treatment plan individualized to your needs. As a part of your treatment plan, you will gain access to the right custom orthotics for your foot, which will help with mobility, with strengthening your foot, and with lowering the risk of re-injury. Our registered specialists aim to assist patients from all walks of life, and your treatment plan will involve orchestrating your successful return to the activities you love.
